The Story of Babalik Karadeniz Hotel

Babalık Natural Life Mansion, located in Rize/Fındıklı Sümer Village, has been restored with the passion and hand labor of Nurdoğan Babalık with all its details. Nurdoğan Babalık was born in 1953 in this mansion that belonged to his grandfather and spent his childhood years in this mansion.

In order to keep the memories alive and to protect the grandfather's legacy, the restoration works started in 2014 were completed in 2017. During the works, it was aimed to preserve the historical architecture and reflect the way of life from the past to the present.

Bearing the traces of 250 years of history, Babalık Natural Life Mansion represents the transition period of Black Sea culture with its blend of green and blue. The purpose of this architecture is to transfer the Black Sea culture to future generations.

Our historical mansion, registered by the Ministry of Culture, is a family business with a capacity of 12 rooms. The interior of our mansion has a wooden architecture made of pine wood, and the exterior winter is a hidden paradise where our guests can stay by being restored with dolmat stone additions...

In our mansion, in addition to the restaurant, serender (nayla), and historical stone oven, there is a mill, a museum that sheds light on the past with the items used by Rize and local people in their homes, a hawk place, trout ponds and a watch hut (kalif).

We are waiting for all nature lovers who want to experience the mountain breeze with the happiness of nature, the peace of green and blue.

Our mansion, which is 700 m from the beach, is 10 minutes from Hazikli district center, Artvin and Rize are also very close to our neighboring districts. In addition, the newly opened Rize-Artvin airport is 25 minutes away from our facility. After landing from the airport, our guests can get off at the Sümer Yalı location by taking a private car or Rize / Fındıklı minibuses, they can reach our facilities in 10 minutes on foot.
